Adopting God's Attributes "Communicable & Incommunicable"
Greetings and Blessings,
I wanted to send a word of encouragement to you today. Did you know that God has many kinds of distinguished attributes? In this blog you will learn the differences between Communicable & Incommunicable Attributes of God, you may or may not have heard of them. Many of you may be familiar with the attributes Omnipotent, Omniscience, Omnipresent. However, do you know if they are Communicable or Incommunicable?
How much do you know about your parent / guardian’s character? Do you have any of their qualities, mannerism’s, ways or gestures? I am so thankful that my parents were great role models for my 11 siblings, myself, & many people all over the world. Mom & dad definitely expressed many communicable attributes of our father in heaven. Even if your parent / guardian wasn’t the absolute best role model, that’s okay because you have a father who has already given you many of his wonderful traits.
As a child reflects their parent and learns how to be like them, we as children of the Most High God should know how to emulate his character. Remember [Matthew 5:13-14] we are the Lights of the World and Salt of the Earth. We make our world a better place for all man kind when we practice being like our creator. It’s amazing that we share some of God’s attributes, however there are unique characteristics that only God expresses.
WHAT ARE COMMUNICABLE ATTRIBUTES?
The Communicable Attributes of God are the moral features of him, his ways, qualities, and character. Every believer can acquire & practice them. In fact we already have some of them because God has given mankind the privilege of developing his Communicable Attributes. It is a free will choice for each individual to adopt the ways of God or continue in their own selfish ways. I encourage you to keep learning more Communicable Attributes of God.

Most of the communicable attributes are self-explanatory and easy to adopt. Can you think of any attributes that might be communicable? Feel free to leave me a comment below.
WHAT ARE INCOMMUNICABLE ATTRIBUTES?
The Incommunicable Attributes of God are possessed by God alone. They are his sovereignty, power, and authority. Man does not have the capabilities to express the incommunicable attributes because we are finite creatures. Finite meaning we need to be replenished with rest, food and water, otherwise we will not be able to function. Mankind has limitations and is vulnerable to life’s challenges. On the other hand, God is infinite meaning he has no boundaries, limitations, beginning nor ending. God fills all space and is eternal.
INCOMMUNICABLE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD

Omnipotent = GOD has ALL POWER
Omniscience = GOD is ALL KNOWING
Omnipresent = GOD is EVERYWHERE
Immutable = GOD DOES NOT CHANGE
Self-Existence = NOT CREATED GOD EXISTS
Transcendent = GOD IS ABOVE ALL CREATION
Infinite = GOD IS LIMITLESS
Sovereign = GOD IS SUPREME & CONTROLS ALL THINGS
